Arbor Day living history presentation planned

The foundation of Arbor Day and its place in Nebraska history will be the basis for a living history event, scheduled for April 28, at the Antelope County Historical Society Museum.

Gloria Christiansen will assume the persona of Caroline Morton, wife of J. Sterling Morton, the father of Arbor Day.

The presentation will include early Nebraska history, Arbor Day's beginnings and the relationship between politics and agriculture in the beginning of Arbor Day.

The program will be held at the one-room schoolhouse at the museum complex.

To reserve a seat contact the museum at 402-887-5010 or Christiansen at 402-929-0330.
