Summerland speakers win medals

The Bobcat speech team participated in the West Holt Invite, Feb. 5.

Five speakers claimed medals in four events.

In varsity competition, Faith King finished fifth in poetry interpretation.

Adrienne Parker placed sixth in persuasive speaking.

Alanna Doll and Julie Olivan earned the seventh-place medal in duet acting.

Carlee Livingston earned a medal in the novice division. She placed fifth in informative speaking.

Coach Julie Harley said team members did a "great job participating in a very competitive meet."
