Mentoring month specials offered

January is mentoring month and the Summerland TeamMates chapter has teamed up with local dining establishments for "Dining Out for a Cause."

Businesses will donate 10% of the ticket total to the Summerland chapter.

Participating businesses and dates include The Den in Orchard, Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 6 p.m .; Royal Bar & Grill, in Royal, Sunday, Jan. 9; L Bar B, in Clearwater, Thursday, Jan. 13, during and after the home game; Dusty's in Orchard, Tuesday, Jan. 18, supper special; TeamMates soup supper at Summerland School, Friday, Jan. 21, during the Bobcats versus Osmond basketball games; DW's Pub, in Ewing, Monday, Jan. 24, supper special; Sons of the American Legion, in Clearwater, Wednesday, Jan. 26, wing night from 6 to 9 p.m. and Hi-Way Mart, in Clearwater, Friday, Jan. 28, pizza orders after 5 p.m.

TeamMates is a 501(c)(3), independent of Summerland Public Schools. The program is 100% funded by generous donations and fundraising events.
