The Bobcat girls' and boys' basketball teams were slated to play for the Summerland Holiday Tournament championships, Tuesday evening. The Advocate-Messenger went to press prior to tipoff. Complete coverage will appear in the Jan. 6 edition.
Girls' bracket
Summerland girls met CWC in the first round and downed the Renegades, 56-38 to advance to the final.
Adyson Mlnarik finished in double digits, scoring 21 points, in the win.
Emily Nordby pulled down six rebounds.

In the first game of the day, Tri County Northeast defeated Walthill, 59-21.
Boys' bracket
The Bobcats relied on scoring from eight players to send them to the championship, following a 49-36 win over CWC.
Summerland was set to play Walthill, in Tuesday's game, after the Bluejays downed Tri County Northeast, 74-61.
The Bobcats cruised to a 14-5 lead at the end of the first quarter, but CWC fought back to bring the margin to three points, 21-18, at the half.
Summerland held the Renegades to nine points in both of the final two quarters and added 17 points in the last eight minutes to preserve the win.
Freshman Alec Schindler paced the Bobcats with nine points. Michael Koenig added eight, while Logan Eacker scored half a dozen.
