The Board of Trustees of the Village of Clearwater met in regular session Monday, Dec. 13, at 8 p.m., in the fire hall meeting room. Meeting opened at 8 p.m. Notice of Meeting was given in advance by publication in Summerland Advocate-Messenger and notice was given to board members prior to meeting. Public was informed of location of Open Meeting Act poster.

Present: Kevin Filsinger, Kelly Kerkman, Mike Klabenes, Steve Hankla, Steve Stearns. Others present: Lauren Sheridan-Simonson, Kate Ahlers, LuAnn Schindler, Angie Hupp.

Approved regular minutes and treasurer’s report for November. Late water bills presented.

Waiting on last parts for lift station before lagoon project completed.

Approved Rutjens Construction pay request #3 of $870,143.23, pending USDA approval.

Approved ERPPD claim of $43,429.44 to run power to lagoon pivot.

Economic development and CARC reports presented.

Approved Economic Workforce Housing Plan addition to LB840 program.

Approved transferring $2,500 from economic savings to economic checking for December claims.

Maintenance and library reports presented. No sheriff’s report presented.

Approved raise to $11/hour for librarian Kathy Feusse, per recommendation by library board.

Approved NENEDD interlocal agreement update with Resolution 2021-08.

Approved Sargent Drilling well repair quote of $48,414.

Approved Reed Miller of Miller & Associates for street superintendent from Jan. 1, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2022.

Approved Ordinance 2021-6 setting 2022 wages and salaries.

Approved Miller & Associates as village engineers from Jan. 1, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2022.

Approved Cornerstone Bank in Clearwater as village bank from Jan. 1, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2022.

Approved fire hall as village meeting room from Jan. 1, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2022.

Tabled approving Village attorney.

Clerk report presented. Approved using state-suggested single bank collateral pool for financial bonds.

Approved signing ownership papers and paying ERPPD $609 to install electricity to historical society building.

Approved KF Repair claim of $1,000. Filsinger abstained.

Approved all other claims and payroll. Claims: $974,553.31; wages: $5,060.88

Meeting adjourned at 9:12 p.m.
