Warrants issued for arrest of Orchard man

Russell L. Meyer, 63, of Orchard, who faces charges in two separate cases, once again failed to appear in the Antelope County Court on Dec. 1.

After failing to appear Nov. 17, he was rescheduled for arraignment on charges of second-degree trespassing and disturbing the peace, both Class 3 misdemeanors alleged Aug. 12, in Orchard. He was also set for a status hearing in another case, charging him with second-degree trespassing/defy order to leave, a Class 2 misdemeanor alleged May 1, also in Orchard, with a different victim.

Meyer’s court-appointed attorney, Melissa Figueroa, told the judge she had been unable to contact her client. Taylor issued bench warrants in both cases, setting bond at $5,000, 10% cash, in each. In addition, she ordered bonds, filed May 4 and Sept. 10, in amounts of $3,000, 10%, and $1,500, 10%, respectively, are subject to forfeiture upon filing of motions and notice.
