November 8, 2021

The Board of Trustees of the Village of Clearwater met in regular session Monday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m., in the fire hall meeting room. Meeting opened at 6:59 p.m. Notice of Meeting was given in advance by publication in Summerland Advocate-Messenger and notice was given to board members prior to meeting. Public was informed of location of Open Meeting Act poster.

Present: Kelly Kerkman, Steve Hankla, Steve Stearns, Kevin Filsinger, Mike Klabenes. Others present: Lauren Sheridan-Simonson, Kate Ahlers, LuAnn Schindler, Kathy Patras, Carla Jacob, clerk Angie Hupp.

Approved regular minutes and treasurer’s report for October. Late water bills presented.

Hankla told board pressure test of new lagoon pipes was complete. Waiting on last parts for lift station before project can be finished.

Approved Miller & Associates claim of $17,670.38, pending USDA approval.

Approved Miller & Associates administration agreement for NAHTF grant. Stearns abstained.

Approved Fair Housing letter stating marketing plan for NAHTF grant. Stearns abstained.

Approved authorization for release of funds for NAHTF grant. Stearns abstained.

Approved updated 2021 Antelope Co. Local Emergency Operations Plan resolution.

Approved Kathleen (Kathy) Ahlers as authorized manager of Clearwater Market to appear on liquor license certificate.

Approved building permit for Preston Scott chicken coop.

Approved building improvement permit for Eli Jacob siding project.

Economic development, maintenance, library and park reports presented. No report from sheriff.

Approved Resolution 2021-06 certifying Reed Miller of Miller & Associates as street superintendent for 2021.

Approved sending Hupp to clerk institute in Grand Island March 13-18, 2022.

Approved purchasing new computer for clerk’s office.

Approved all claims and payroll. Bills: $51,556.33; wages: $4,961.12

Meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
