A quartet of Bobcats ran the route around the Lake View Golf Course, near picturesque Lewis and Clark Lake, Thursday.
Warm temperatures and a hilly course greeted team members, who ran against a large contingent in their respective races.
Coach Shannon Schumacher said, “It is one of the meets that you have a great opportunity to run your best because of all of the quality athletes around you.”
In the girls’ division, freshman Aubrey Parker was the lone participant, as illness and injuries prevented other Bobcat racers from competition.
Parker finished 32nd in the field of approximately 50 athletes. She finished the course in 26:53.30.
Crofton’s Jordyn Arens topped the individual race, crossing the finish line in 20:03.24.
Wayne won the team title, scoring 27 points.
Approximately 75 runners competed in the boys’ division. Jesse Thiele led the Bobcat boy’s team, finishing 42nd. He ran 21:45.08.
Alex Thiele ended in 50th, after charting a time of 22:02.49.
Parker Napier ran 23:41.30 and placed 63rd.
Carson Noecker, of Hartington, ran 15:33.38 to earn the boys’ individual title.
Norfolk Catholic scored 28 points en route to the team title.
