Water survey sent to Clearwater residents

Clearwater residents who use the village’s water service will be required to fill out a form received in the mail last week.

During the Village Board of Trustee’s Sept. 13 meeting, clerk Angie Hupp told board members the form will fulfill a requirement, set forth the Safe Drinking Water Act of 1974 and 1986, requiring consumers of public water supplies to inspect their facilities once every five years.

The form includes questions regarding a potential connection between public water supplies and a source of contamination or pollution, which could potentially enter the drinking water supply.

Forms will be due within 45 days of receipt.

Individuals who have questions about the form are asked to contact Hupp at the village office or call 402-485-2365.
