PROCEEDINGS PUBLIC HEARING Village of Clearwater August 9, 2021
The Board of Trustees of the Village of Clearwater met for a public hearing Monday, Aug. 9, at 7 p.m., in the fire hall meeting room. Meeting opened at 7:01 p.m. Notice of hearing was given in advance by publication in Summerland Advocate- Messenger and notice was given to board members prior to meeting.
Public was informed of location of Open Meeting Act poster.
Present: Mike Klabenes, Steve Stearns, Steve Hankla, Kevin Filsinger, Kelly Kerkman. Others present: Tyler Hillmer from Miller & Associates, Lauren Sheridan-Simonsen, Kate Ahlers, Bill Kester, LuAnn Schindler, Bill Thiele, sheriff Bob Moore, clerk Angie Hupp.
Discussion was held regarding completing Community Development Block Grant application for street improvements. Application included laying eight inches of concrete on Iowa Street. from Nebraska St. to First St. for a total of $1,096,664.00. Local match funds in the amount of $661,664.00 would come from the village, with $435,000.00 in CDBG grant funds.
A request for revision could be sent if the village decided to use asphalt or change/add streets to the project.
Hearing adjourned at 7:29 p.m.
