Royal Roping Club sponsored its second roping competition of the season, July 17, at the Royal arena. Winning the event were Brett Knievel and Doug Harris. They received belt buckles and $2,224. Jesse Rader and Knievel finished second and received $1,668 for their efforts. Rob Stevens and Robert Sears placed third, earning $1,112. Fourth place belonged to Ray Hermelbracht and Josh Cole, who rode away with $556.
