The Board of Trustees of the Village of Clearwater met in regular session Monday, June 14, at 7:30 p.m., in the fire hall meeting room. Meeting opened at 7:32 p.m. Notice of Meeting was given in advance by publication in Summerland Advocate- Messenger and notice was given

to board members prior to meeting. Public was informed of location of Open Meeting Act poster.

Present: Kelly Kerkman, Mike Klabenes, Steve Hankla, Steve Stearns. Others present: Lauren Sheridan- Simonson, Kate Ahlers, LuAnn Schindler, Ashley Weesner, Joene Crocker, Dawn Curtis, Sheriff Bob Moore, Angie Hupp. Absent: Kevin Filsinger.

Approved amended regular minutes and treasurer’s report for May. Late water bills were presented.

Ashley Weesner said Tyler Hillmer from Miller & Associates waiting to hear back from water meter supplier regarding warranty since several meters aren’t working correctly.

Approved Miller & Associates for general administrator contract for CDBG public works project, pending grant approval.

Opened Citizen’s Advisory Review Committee hearing at 7:45 p.m. Dawn Curtis presented report. Hearing closed at 7:48 p.m.

Approved moving up agenda item 14 regarding sheriff’s report. Sheriff Moore still working with attorney Joe McNally on nuisance violation case. Have set deputies at stop sign on Iowa St. to slow trucks rolling through stop. Department worked 72 hours, 33 minutes and received one 911 call for Clearwater during the month of May.

Approved LB40 loan of $15,000 for Elkhorn Acres RV Park. Klabenes abstained.

Approved Clearwater marketing video for $2,450 by B&B Video, providing cost to revise video in a year is available at a reduced cost.

Approved transferring $15,000 from economic savings to economic checking for LB840 loan. Klabenes abstained.

Approved transferring $1,400 from economic savings to economic checking to cover bills for flowers, pots and News Channel Nebraska marketing video.

Clerk to send out letters to people who need to clean up property before rodeo.

Get bids from Dan Kerkman and Mark Thiele to replace fluorescent light fixtures in library and office with LEDs.

Clerk will need to go door to door to collect remaining dog tag license fees.

Quotes for concrete along east side of Main St. tabled.

Security cameras still held up at port. Klabenes asked seller to find different supplier.

Denied building permit for Sharon King after reviewing zoning regulations.

Rutjens to be called again to put water line to house southwest of town.

Approved paying Antelope County to grind and mill River Rd. from Kerkman’s driveway to Highway 275.

Approved payroll for Hunter Klabenes. Klabenes abstained.

Approved Innovative Ag claim. Klabenes abstained.

Approved all other claims. Claims and payroll:

Wages: $5,957.25

Bills: $135,742.29

Meeting adjourned at 9:37 p.m.
