The North Central District Health Department released updated directed health measures, May 6. They will continue in effect through May 31.
The first change does away with a requirement for entities sponsoring a large event to submit a plan to a local health department.
A second change concerns quarantine measures for school-aged individuals.
Per the DHM, a student who has been exposed to the virus may, in place of quarantine, wear a face covering or mask for 14 days following exposure and social distance and self-monitor twice daily for fever and other symptoms.
If COVID symptoms develop within the 14-day quarantine period, isolation instructions will need to be followed.
