Potter paces Bobcats at Summerland Invite

Team earns runner-up trophy

Matthew Potter carded a 93 and secure a fourth-place finish at the Summerland Invite, held April 14 at Summerland Golf Course.

The Bobcats shot a collective 394 to finish second behind powerhouse West Holt. The Huskies ended with 377.

Norfolk Catholic finished third, with 397; Riverside, fourth, shooting 399; Elgin Public/Pope John, fifth, with 416.

Rounding out the top six teams were Boyd County, 434; Stuart, 435; Niobrara/Verdigre, 439 and O'Neill junior varsity, 445.

North Central, Elkhorn Valley, Ainsworth, Osmond and Chambers Wheeler Central fielded incomplete teams.

Cameron Adkisson, of West Holt, won the meet with an 87. Teammate Jaxson Cadwallader shot 91 to earn the silver medal.

Preston Crosley, N/V, placed third with 92; Potter, fourth, 93; Austin Meikle, Norfolk Catholic, fifth, 94; Connor Carraher, Riverside, sixth, 94; Skylar Mustin, Stuart, seventh, 95; Jacob Cerny, Norfolk Catholic, eighth, 95; Daley Bearinger, Summerland, ninth, 95; Tim Atkinson, Boyd County, 10th, 95; Carson Bloom, Riverside 11th, 95; Ethan Schwichtenberg, Norfolk Catholic, 12th, 96; Skylar Reestman, EPPJ, 13th, 97; Mason Mitchell, West Holt, 14th, 97 and Anthony Heister, Stuart, 15th, 97.

Other Bobcat golfers competing included Rafe Grebin, who shot 102; Avery Cheatum, 104 and Kelton Bruhn, 108.
