The Lady Bobcats ran into a tough opponent in the North Central Lady Knights, who defeated the home team, 58-37. Brenna Wagner led the team in scoring with 12 points in the Jan. 7 contest.
The girls opened the game with multiple turnovers against the North Central defensive pressure, sending them into the first quarter down, 18-3. The Lady Bobcats were able to spark their offense and go into the half down, 28-18. Second-half play started out similar to the first, with another tough quarter offensively, as the Cats went into the fourth, down, 45-26. Coach Greg Appleby said the defensive pressure of North Central bothered them throughout the game.
