Reliable, Trustworthy Reporting, Capturing The Heartbeat Of Our Community
The mobile food pantry, sponsored by the Neligh United Methodist Church, as well as various other churches, individuals, and businesses in the area, will disperse food, Tuesday, January 19, from 3 to 5 p.m., on the east side of the American Legion Club in Neligh.
Cars will park on the west side of the Legion Club in the blocked off street.
Food Bank for the Heartland is only allowing recipients to pick up food for themselves and one other family if they have a signed note from whomever they are picking up for. That same agency has requested we collect the total number of households served, as well as the ages of household members in these groups: 0-18, 19-64 and age 65+ . Cue cards, in English and Spanish, will be used to collect information.
The pantry will still be held outside using drive-up delivery where recipients will remain in their vehicles and volunteers will load food.
The pantry will be held regardless of weather.
