In holiday tournament action, the Summerland girls won their game in dominant fashion against the Walthill Bluejays, 61-14.
The teams met Monday, in Clearwater.
Brenna Wagner and Hadley Cheatum both scored 12 points to lead the team offensively.
During the first quarter, the Lady Bobcats were able to secure a 27-2 commanding lead with great offense and defense.
They kept the strong defense going and only allowed four points in the second quarter.
Second-half action was more of the same and the Lady Bobcats cruised through the third and fourth quarters to grab another win and advance to the holiday tournament championship Game. They will face Chambers Wheeler Central on Wednesday, Dec.30.
The Bluejays will face Tri County Northeast in the consolation game.
Coach Jackson Medina was proud of his team’s performance and said, “It’s good to play everybody and take advantage of different opportunities. This game was good preparation for Chambers Wheeler Central.”
