North Central District Health Department has been made aware of 159 cases in the district since the last reporting on Nov. 12, including: 19-Antelope; 9-Boyd; 21-Brown; 26-Cherry; 27-Holt; 6-Keya Paha; 13-Knox; 36-Pierce and 2-Rock.
NCDHD has expanded its COVID-19 testing capacities to include a 15-minute rapid test, in addition to the gold standard PCR test already offered. The rapid test will be offered only to individuals who are currently exhibiting symptoms associated with COVID-19.
All testing is offered free of charge at the below locations:
• O’Neill: Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., in the north parking lot of the O’Neill Armory. The armory is located at the corner of 4th and Hynes Ave.
• Bassett: Tuesdays, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Rock County Fair Grounds.
Pre-registration for testing at http://www.testnebraska.com is highly encouraged but not required.
The last patient will be scheduled 15 minutes before the scheduled end of the clinic.
NCDHD will be extending public influenza vaccine clinics in O’Neill through the month of November. Clinics will be held behind the NCDHD building as a drive-through style clinic. To access the clinic, participants are instructed to enter through the east ally entrance and remain in your vehicle. To fast track the clinic process, the vaccination form may be accessed online prior to arrival. Copies of insurance cards are needed at time of arrival. If unable to complete vaccination form prior to the clinic NCDHD will have hard copies available and will be making copies of insurance cards as needed. Clinic cancellations or postponements will be announced through local media. A clinic will be held Tuesday, Nov. 24, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Case count update, as of Nov. 16 at 4 p.m., includes 2,247 total cases, 871 recoveries, 30 deaths and 777 total cases reported in the last 14 days.
Total case numbers are represented first, and of those total cases, the number of recovered persons is represented second, and total case-related deaths is represented third.
