Reliable, Trustworthy Reporting, Capturing The Heartbeat Of Our Community

Ewing church hosting simulcast

The Return gathering will be held on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., Saturday, Sept. 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. The event will be simulcast across the country so church groups can participate in their communities.

Pastor Mark Hoffman, of Ewing Full Gospel Church, said, “We are so excited that Ewing Full Gospel is one of the churches that is participating. We have heard the call to humbly pray. We invite you, and all those that feel called in our surrounding area, to spend whatever amount of time you have that evening to participate in the simulcast and in prayer.

The event is centered on II Chronicles 7:14, “For if my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Hoffman said the Bible, especially the Old Testament, records time after time of how God honored His people when they humbled themselves and turned from their wicked ways in repentance with fasting and steadfast prayer.

“Many of our religious leaders are urging that now is the time for God’s people to act, to ask God to heal our nation,” Hoffman said.

The Return is sponsored and supported by religious leaders from the nation and around the world.

Hoffman said, “Start praying now that God will move His people, hear their prayers and respond.”
