Summerland classes begin August 13

Summerland Public Schools will begin classes, Thursday, Aug. 13. A 2 p.m. dismissal is scheduled that day.

Clearwater site

The school building will open at 7:45 a.m. and breakfast will be served at this time. Students not eating breakfast at school or being supervised by a teacher should not arrive before 8 a.m. Classes will end at 3:32 p.m.

Preschool classes, in Clearwater, are set to start Monday, Aug. 17.

Ewing site

Regular dismissal times will begin Aug. 14, with grades K - 6 being dismissed at 3:27 p.m. Grades 7-12 will dismiss at 3:32.

Ewing preschool students will begin Monday, Aug. 24.

Greg Appleby serves as site principal.

Orchard site

Orchard's regular school day will begin at 8:05 a.m.

Beginning Friday, Aug. 14, staggered dismissal times will be in effect. Preschool through third grade will be dismissed at 3:25, with fourth through sixth grade exiting the building at 3:28. Junior and senior high students will dismiss at 3:32.

Preschool classes will begin at noon, beginning Aug. 17.

Cathy Cooper will be site principal.

Dale Martin serves as superintendent for the district.
