Ewing Public School will finally have their prom

After months of planning and rescheduling, Ewing Public School students will have a prom. The event will take place Friday, July 17 at St. Dominic's Hall.

The theme is Las Vegas Nights and members of the junior class will decorate Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

The traditional grand march will still take place at 6:30 p.m., Friday, after sponsor Jan Miller takes pictures at 6. Audience members are asked to remain in their vehicles while students walk along the sidewalk, showing their outfits.

Before students enter the building, temperatures will be taken and a list of all those in attendance will be kept, in accordance with COVID guidelines.

Dinner will be made and served by the junior class parents at 7 p.m. The meal consists of steak, mashed potatoes and gravy and cheesecake. The meal is subject to change, according to sponsor Chanetelle Dempster..

Dancing will begin at 8 p.m., with Greg Ramold as DJ. Post prom will be held at St. Dominic's Hall and begin at 10 p.m. Post prom may consist of summer yard games, with gifts and prizes, but is also subject to change.
