Grand opening held for AMH's new Senior Life Solutions

On Wednesday, June 24, a grand opening, with ribbon cutting ceremony, was held for Antelope Memorial Hospital's new Senior Life Solutions Clinic. Members of the AMH Board of Trustees and Neligh Chamber of Commerce, AMH employees and local residents attended the event.

AMH's Senior Life Solutions program is dedicated to addressing the emotional and behavioral health of adults, typically over age 65. It is designed to meet unique needs of senior adults struggling with depression and anxiety, stress from age-related health issues or difficult life transitions, such as the loss of a loved one. The program's staff members include: Shelly Hammock, LMHP, PLADC; Lindsay Ottis, RN and program director; and Ashley Williams, office and patient coordinator.

We're pleased to begin offering our new Senior Life Solutions program," said Diane Carlin, AMH chief executive officer. "I understand the challenges that seniors may face during difficult life transitions. This program will assist area seniors in managing these stresses and enjoying a more fulfilling life in their senior years. We are proud to be a leader in northeast Nebraska in providing this valuable service for our seniors - close to their homes."

Referrals to the program may be made by anyone, including a patient's physician, family member, the patient himself/herself or another healthcare professional.
