Five Cyclone speech team members earned medals during competition last week.
On Feb. 21, team members participated in the Howells-Dodge Invite.
Maddy Melcher finished sixth in varsity serious prose. Brynna Umphress and Faith King placed sixth in novice duet acting, while Lizett Marino ended seventh in novice poetry interpretation.
On Saturday, the Cyclones competed in the Fullerton Invite.
Jackie Olivan brought home the gold medal in varsity entertainment speaking.
Melcher earned silver in varsity serious prose.
The Cyclones will host the Whirlwind Invite, Saturday, in Orchard. Competition will begin at 8 a.m.
On Monday, they will participate in the Niobrara Valley Conference speech meet in Keya Paha.
