Memorial services for Roger W. Pofahl, 82, of Ewing, were Thursday, Jan. 23, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Clearwater with Pastor Daniel Feusse, officiating. Sherri Ahlers and Bob Sisson provided music. Honarary pallbearers were his grandchildren.
Roger died Jan. 19, at Arbor Care Center in Neligh.
Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater handled the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for future designations.

Roger William Pofahl was born Oct. 22, 1937, to Louis W. and Edith M. (Huff) Pofahl at Ewing. He attended country school at Wheeler County School through the eighth grade and then attended Wheeler Central High School, graduating with the Class of 1956.
On June 8, 1957, he was united in marriage to Elaine Marie Anderson at Grace Lutheran Church in Norfolk. He ranched/farmed south of Chambers until 1961 when their home burned and moved to the ranch in Holt County near Ewing.
Roger also worked at CVA in Clearwater and Olson Mfg., in Atkinson. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Clearwater, where he was a youth group sponsor and in couples club.
He coached boxing and was State Jr. boxing president. He enjoyed being involved with Golden Gloves Boxing, rodeos and stock car racing.
Roger is survived by his wife, Elaine of Ewing; children, Tim (Connie) Pofahl of Grant; Sandy (Rick) Funk of Clearwater; and Rocky (Marla) Pofahl of Castle Rock, Colorado; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Rockey of Neligh; brothers, LeRoy “Butch” Pofahl of Blair and Dean Pofahl of Kearney; nieces and nephews.
He is receded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Melvin (Esther) Anderson; brothers and spouses, Max (Rose) Pofahl and Martin (Joan) Pofahl and brothers-in-law, Neil Anderson, Willis Rockey and Steve Brasch; sisters-in-law, Judy Lau and Judy Pofahl; nephews, Curt Anderson and Ed Rockey and niece, Susan Bush.
