Koenig leads Bobcats to win over Broncos

The Summerland Lady Bobcats downed undefeated Stuart Tuesday, 41-33, at Stuart

After a slow start, the Lady Bobcats came on in the second half to down Stuart.

It was a defensive battle in the first half as both teams' defenses ruled the day. The Lady Bobcats led at half, 20-19.

A strong start to the third quarter gave the Bobcats a 6-10 advantage that they held throughout the second half.

Ashley Koenig sunk 16 points and Sidney Stallbaum contributed 13 to lead the way offensively.

Coach Greg Appleby said, "We played well on defense and created many Stuart turnovers. We did not finish well at the hoop and missed many easy scoring opportunities, we need to be stronger finishing plays and passing out of the post."
