Students recognized for one-act performances

Play production teams from Ewing and Clearwater/Orchard competed in district competition recently.

Ewing finished seventh in the Class D2-4, receiving rankings of six, seven and eight from a panel of three judges.

The team presented “Alice.”

St. Mary’s finished first and Chambers earned the runner-up trophy.

Seven Ewing cast members received acting honors, including Skylar Eacker, Sidney Stallbaum, Allison Schrunk, Katie Hawk, Olga Mendoza, Kyra Nilson and Emily Nordby.

On Dec. 11, St. Mary’s claimed the Class D2 state championship with their production.

The Cyclones production of “At the Bottom of Lake Missoula” finished seventh in the Class D1-3 district.

Judges ranked the production seventh, seventh and eighth, which tied with Rock County. Judges’ preference gave the edge of OC.

Jackie Olivan, James Kester and Maryssa Long received honors for their performances.

Bancroft-Rosalie won the district title.
