Reliable, Trustworthy Reporting, Capturing The Heartbeat Of Our Community
The Northeast Nebraska Chapter of the Compassionate Friends will participate in the 23nd annual worldwide candle lighting memorial service, Sunday, Dec. 8, from 7 to 8 p.m., at the O’Neill United Methodist Church.
During this one-hour service, family and friends around the globe unite to honor memories of sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and grandchildren who left too soon.
Anyone wanting to commemorate and honor the memory of a child gone too soon, is invited to light a candle and join what is now believed to be the largest mass candle lighting on the globe, as a virtual 24-hour wave of light moving from time zone to time zone is created.
The worldwide candle lighting gives bereaved families everywhere the opportunity to remember their child(ren) so that their lights may always shine.
Social hour will begin at 6 p.m., with snacks and visiting. For more information, contact Steve or Janene Reynolds of Ewing at 402-626-7569.
