Meet will be Friday in Kearney
Summerland cross country runners competed in Class D-4 district competition, Oct. 17, at Rolling Hills Golf Course.
In this first year of competition, two runners qualified for the state meet, set in Kearney this Friday.
Kaci Wickersham and Eli Thiele both placed in the top 15 in their respective divisions to advance.
Thiele completed the course in 18:09, finishing seventh. Crofton's Connor Arens won the boys' individual title. Summerland finished 11th in team standings, with 160 points.
Wickersham ended 10th, running 21:23. Summerland placed ninth in girls' team standings.
Rylee Rice, of Ainsworth, won the individual title.
Results for other Summerland runners were unavailable.
