Renegades remain undefeated after 40-20 win

CWCE racked up 277 total yards of offense en route to a 40-20 win over Central Valley, Sept. 27.

In a defensive battle during most of the first quarter, CWCE struck first, taking an 8-0 lead and pushed to 14-0 at halftime.

Twin Loup bounced back, and pulled within a touchdown in the third quarter, before the Renegades responded with a quick six and PAT.

CWCE added 12 points in the final quarter, while allowing one Twin Loup score, to maintain their unblemished record.

Sophomore quarterback Cole Duba threw for 100 yards. Senior running back Wyatt Wagner rushed for 131 yards on 22 carries, averaging 6 yards a pop.

Jackson Waldo added 56 yards on 9 carries.

Dalton Rotherham led the receiving corps, pulling in a 19-yard catch for a touchdown.

Defensively, Logan Sanford led the Renegades with 15 tackles. Rex Day added 11, with 4 for loss of yards.
