Clearwater Public School's class of 2020 will graduate June 20. The original board of education approved the date, and set a second date as a back-up plan, at its May 5 meeting. Chance Boelter, a senior at Orchard Public School, was one of 120 students selected to represent the Best of 2020 by KCAU TV in Sioux City, Iowa. The program, in its 37th year, recognizes area valedictorians or top academically-ranked students. On April 11, Ewing Full Gospel Church distributed canvas shoes to all 156 students of Ewing Public Schools. Pastor Mark Hoffman said each student's feet were measured Feb. 12 and on Saturday, students received shoes, along with a pair of socks. The church also distributed lunch to students. Orchard school teachers ventured up, down and across town, Monday, during a parade of educators. Matthew Feusse, son of the Rev. Daniel and Kathy Feusse, of Clearwater, has received a $16,000 music scholarship to Concordia University Nebraska in Seward.
