  • Suspect in O'Neill theft faces Pierce County felony charges

    A warrant was issued Feb. 6 by Holt County judge Kale Burdick, for the arrest of Jesse R. Anderson, 41, of O’Neill. Anderson is suspected of the theft of $2,259 cash from Pump & Pantry in O’Neill on Feb. 3. According to an affidavit filed by investigator Mike Ross with the O’Neill Police Department, Anderson was allegedly recorded on surveillance footage in the convenience store at the time of the theft.     What initially started as a fundraiser for Dream Socks, FDA-cleared Smart Baby Monitor socks for infants at a local daycare turned into a donation from the Clearwater Fire and Rescue Department.     A March 6 crash, near Neligh, claimed the life of an Orchard man and injured another individual. The collision occurred at approximately 3:49 p.m., near the Antelope County Road Department shed, east of Neligh on Highway 275, said Antelope County Sheriff Bob Moore.
