    Holt County Sheriff’s office personnel responded to a two-vehicle accident north of Atkison. On Nov. 6, at approximately 2:45 p.m., a 2020 Ford Edge, driven by Thomas Krcilek was westbond on 883 Road, east of Highway 11. As Krcilek approched the highway, he failed to stop at a stop sign and continued into the intersection and came into contact with the rear of a northbound 2016 white cargo van driven by Tyler Brockberg.     The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has announced the filing of a settlement agreement with three parties requiring the cleanup of contamination at the Iowa-Nebraska Light & Power Company Superfund Site in Norfolk. The settlement was filed in the United States District Court of the District of Nebraska and is subject to a 30-day public comment period and final court approval.     Antelope County Commissioners approved hiring Brooke Kumm as the new 4H youth coordinator. Kumm will join the extension staff May 27, 2025, following graduation Commissioner Casey Dittrich asked what the starting salary is for the position.     Installation of a new floating fishing pier recently was completed at Grove Lake Wildlife Management Area in Antelope County. The 60-foot gangway and 10-foot by 20-foot floating platform, with benches and rod holders, was installed on the west shoreline of the lake north of Royal.
