Gaven Gilsdorf received a special honor, Saturday, at the conclusion of the Orchard AAU Powerlifting Meet. Gilsdorf was presented with the Beastmode Warrior Mentality Lifter of the meet. The award was presented by Maureen Jackman, of Ainsworth, in honor of her son, Conner, a former powerlifter for the Ainsworth Bulldogs. Conner died, by suicide, Jan. 1. Blair Hillman, 39, from Long Beach, California, and formerly from Wynot, died Jan. 19 after a short illness. Leave it to Blair to enter and exit this world on the same day - he always had a way of being unique.
