    Mark you calendars for Saturday, Aug. 24. The Summerland Lady Bobcats will open their inaugural season at the Bill Marshall Volleyball Classic. The Bobcats are slated to face Axtell, at 10 a.m., at Grand Island Central Catholic. A second match will begin at noon against Schuyler Central.     Plenty of activities for everyone are scheduled for Orchard Celebration Days. The annual community event will begin Friday, July 26 and continue until Sunday, July 28. A broasted chicken dinner will be served at the Rex, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday. Several activities will begin at 5 p.m., including duck races at the Orchard pool, brownie sundaes and a food cart.     As the school year approaches, so does volleyball season. This year Clearwater, Orchard, and Ewing will form the Summerland Bobcats. The co-op causes the team to move from a Class D2 to a C2 team. This means the competition level may get a lot harder. However, Bobcats Head Coach Suz Funk is already planning for the season.
