With the assistance of a neighboring farmer, Summerland FFA members will chart corn growth and yields on a test plot. Located north of the school, on land owned and farmed by the Napier family, the area was planted with 24 different seed varities, last Friday. It took two motions and nearly an hour of discussion for the Summerland Board of Education to approve the sale of the Orchard site to the Village of Orchard.
