The Village of Clearwater will receive $221,000 from the Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund to develop a housing project. Notification was received Sept. 9, from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development. Approximately $12.8 million in awards will be presented in the 2021 cycle. Following a public hearing, Monday, on an application for a Community Development Block Grant, Clearwater Village Board of Trustees voted to postpone the application for one year. Survey results regarding street conditions in Clearwater were presented during the village board of trustees' July 12 meeting. Tyler Hillmer of Miller & Associates said results show 48% of residents commute outside of the community for work.
