The Page Community Day Committee hosted a cookoff, Sunday. Ten competitors turned up the heat, entering soups ranging from chicken noodle to chili, zuppa toscana to chipotle sweet potato chili, cheeseburger to black bean soup. Holt County Supervisors gave the nod to 33 projects with an estimated price tag of $25.9 million, during a Feb. 16 hearing for the county’s one- and six-year road plan.
