Seven members of the Bobcat speech team competed Saturday at the West Holt Invitational. Summerland’s lone varsity medal winner was Yuliana Olivan who came in second in entertainment speaking. Also competing at the varsity level were oral interpretation of drama team members Brandon Pruden, Owen Jeffords, Olivan and Addisyn Fletcher, who came in one place out of the medal round. Summerland School's one-act production participated in the Gator Play Production Festival, Nov. 2, in Wisner. Two Summerland actors received the Ellen Philbin Memorial awards. The class was seated in the court gallery to observe Nov. 16 county court proceedings. The docket was comparatively light, giving Antelope County Judge Donna Taylor the opportunity to spend about an hour visiting with the students.
