The Nebraska State Patrol has completed a season-long effort to keep fans safe as they travel to and from Husker football games. Troopers spent gamedays patrolling roadways, monitoring from the air and assisting with security in and around Memorial Stadium. Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol removed 52 impaired drivers from the road during the Make It Click campaign, which ran from Nov. 23 through Dec. 1. Troopers arrested 52 drivers for driving under the influence and issued 44 citations for seat belt and child safety seat violations. Nebraska roadways are off to a speedy start to 2024. In the first 100 days of the year, Nebraska state troopers issued more citations for speeding at over 90 miles per hour and speeding at over 100 miles per hour than any year in the past decade.
