Antelope County will be part of a coalition for landfill services. Commissioners approved acceptance of a resolution, Tuesday, following a phone call with Daryl Guthard, owner of Bud’s Sanitary Service, based in Newman Grove. According to Guthard, the resolution is required by the state since trash from the county goes to a coalition landfill. “It just says we’re approved members,” Guthard said. Orchard principal Cathy Cooper told board members negotiations with the teachers’ association had been completed, with the 2020-2021 base salary for Summerland teachers set at $35,000. Two residents of the Royal community faced the Antelope County commissioners at their Aug. 13 meeting, asking the county leaders to intercede in the case of a dog running at large.
