One year after area schools featured virtual and socially-distanced graduation ceremonies, Summerland School superintendent Dale Martin said 2021 commencement exercises will not have restrictions. Hadley Cheatum added another gold medal to her collection from the 2021 track campaign after winning the 400m race at the Randolph Invite. Cheatum completed the oval in 1:02.90 at the May 6 meet. Bobcat track team members brought home medals in four events from the Tom Martin/Wausa Invite, held April 22, in Pierce. Summerland girls' basketball season ended Friday evening, following a 36-30 loss to Hartington Cedar Catholic. "I was really proud of our girls and the effort and performance they had," Coach Greg Appley said. "We really played well for three and one-half quarters and were superb on defense and on the glass."
