Expansion of a storage business in Clearwater passed a final hurdle, Monday, after village trustees approved a building permit following approximately 10 minutes of discussion, an executive session and another 15 minutes of consideration. Wayne State College will hold commencement ceremonies for graduate and undergraduate students on Saturday, May 4, in the college's historic Willow Bowl amphitheater. The graduate student ceremony will be at 10 a.m. and the undergraduate ceremony will be at 1:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the ceremonies will be held in Rice Auditorium. The Village of Clearwater will have a new street superintendent in 2024. During the trustees’ Dec. 13 meeting, the board unanimously approved hiring Advanced Consulting Engineering Services and John Zwingman as the village’s engineering company and street superintendent for 2024.
