    The illegal harvest and disposal of the carcass of a whitetail doe in January cost a Louisiana man more than $1,000. Cole Branden Thomas, 26, of West Monroe pleaded guilty, by waiver, to several counts related to shooting the deer without a permit and without the permission of a Holt County landowner.
