Ewing FBLA will host a blood drive, Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Ewing United Methodist -Presbyterian Church. Dalton Rotherham, a junior at Ewing Public Schools, was named the local winner of the Holt County Government Day essay contest. He is the son of Eddie and Karmen Rotherham. Summerland Volleyball Coach Suz Funk made history Saturday. When the Bobcats last kill landed on the West Holt floor, Funk picked up career win number 300. The Orchard Public School Advisory Board of Education faced a short agenda when they met last Wednesday at the high school. Board members heard from Principal Cathy Cooper that enrollment numbers used for football classification, as of last Wednesday, sat at 47, the maximum allowed for eight-man participation, in order to qualify for state playoffs. Allison Schrunk, Hailey Rotherham and Emily Kurpgweit, accompanied by Ann Kurpgeweit, tourned seven countries and performed in various venues across Europe.
