The Ewing Tiger speech team tied for second with Stuart in the O/C Whirlwind Invitational speech meet, Feb. 29. Creighton won the meet Kyra Nilson earned gold in serious prose. Katie Hawk and Sidney Stallbaum finished first in duet acting, while Nilson and Emily Nordby ended fourth. Hawk claimed the gold medal in humorous prose. The Ewing FCCLA chapter joined more than 450 other Nebraska FCCLA members and advisers at the state peer education conference, in Kearney, Feb. 24. Freshmen Olga Mendoza and Emma Hoffman, along with their adviser, Chelsey Greene, participated in the conference.
