For years, Alex and Joyce Thramer were well-known throughout the area for the Two Rivers Steakhouse, Thramer Irrigation, Summerland Golf Course and their participation in the community. On July 31, bareback, saddle bronc and bull riders from the mid-states region and beyond will vie for added prize money in the first Clearwater Chamber Rough Stock Challenge. Clearwater Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department responded to a call late Sunday evening at 406 Iowa Street. Assistant Fire Chief Mark Allemang said the fire was reported at approximately 11:55 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters found the single-story home of the Jose and Jemima Mendoza family in flames.
