  • Village, library board agree to hire architect for potential expansion project

    After more than a year of discussion about possible expansion of the Clearwater Public Library, village officials and library board members will enlist the help of Patrick Moore of Goodlife Architecture, based in Kearney, to complete conceptual drawings for the project. The boards met in special joint session, Feb. 26, to discuss the best way to move forward with the project that would include remodeling the old ambulance bay at the village building.     Individuals applying for a new utility account - including water, sewer or trash service - furnished by the Village of Clearwater will be required to pay a $150 deposit. Village trustees approved the deposit fee and signed Ordinance 2023-6 to that effect when they met in regular session, Aug. 14.
