After more than a year of discussion about possible expansion of the Clearwater Public Library, village officials and library board members will enlist the help of Patrick Moore of Goodlife Architecture, based in Kearney, to complete conceptual drawings for the project. The boards met in special joint session, Feb. 26, to discuss the best way to move forward with the project that would include remodeling the old ambulance bay at the village building. Clearwater's Planning Commission will meet March 4 to make a recommendation about a building permit application for a local daycare. Following discussion at the Feb. 12 village meeting, trustees made the decision to send the permit application to the commission. The Village of Clearwater will have a new street superintendent in 2024. During the trustees’ Dec. 13 meeting, the board unanimously approved hiring Advanced Consulting Engineering Services and John Zwingman as the village’s engineering company and street superintendent for 2024.
