Karley Dawkins and Jaycee Reynolds finished eight-for-eight from the service line. Leah Wiese and Lenora Kester each ended a perfect evening, clearing seven serves a piece. Bobcat golf team members participated in multiple meets last week. Coach Bill Tabbert said the Crofton course was "a tough hilly course that presented tough pin settings and windy conditions." Dylan Rotherham shot 92 to medal and the Bobcats finished sixth in the competition that included Pierce, Ponca, Crofton, Homer and West Holt. The Bobcat golf season will wait until April 5 to tee off for the 2023 season when the team competes in the CWC quad at Summerland. Tee time is set for 1 p.m. Originally, Summerland was scheduled to compete March 28, in a triangular with Niobrara/Verdigre and Santee. That meet has been postponed. One Summerland administrator and six educators submitted letters of resignation that were read during Monday's school board meeting, in Ewing. Mike Sanne, who has served as principal at Clearwater for 15 years, has accepted a position as superintendent of schools at Boyd County Schools. Orchard school board members took no official action, other than consent agenda items when they met in the high school business room Wednesday, Feb. 4. Orchard principal Cathy Cooper told board members negotiations with the teachers’ association had been completed, with the 2020-2021 base salary for Summerland teachers set at $35,000.
