Nine Bobcat grapplers earned medals Saturday at the Battle Creek Invite. Summerland scored 82 points, tying Crofton-Bloomfield for fifth place. The host school claimed the top spot, scoring 192.5 points. Howells-Dodge took home the runner-up award, with 141 points. Summerland wrestlers competed in two events last week. On Thursday, the grapplers traveled to Elkhorn Valley for a triangular with Madison and EV. The Bobcats downed the Dragons, 57 to 12 before falling to EV, 46-33. Between matches, several Summerland youth wrestling team members competed against Elkhorn Valley's youth squad. The Bobcat wrestling team traveled to Wayne, Dec. 5, for a triangular with Wisner-Pilger and Wayne. The Wayne Blue Devils won 43 to 36.
